Default squeaking and creaking in steering. solutions?

:Help: i have noted squeaking and creaking when turning the wheel either right or left but more on left. Seems to be coming from the front end. Recently bought the beautiful 99 GT conv. with 57000 miles Love the car and the power. Are there any lube fittings in the steering mechanism that I'm missing?

The stock suspension doest have a way to lube it.

The problem could be the tie rod ends, make a tiny hole in the dust boot and apply some grease or WD40. Then seal the boot with silicone.

Also clean the suspension and apply some WD40 to the bushings.

I think your problem is most likely the tie-rods, pretty common problem on Fords... have seen it several times.

It could also be a strut bearing (bushing is more the approprate term). More than likely it is those self-lubircating joints that only lubricate themselves during the basic warranty coverage. Does the creaking occur on flat ground, are you driving or sitting still when you hear the sound? Sometimes the creaking noise can be caused by disk brakes two. I often get a nasty sounding creaking sound in the front end when slowly driving on uneven ground which is caused by the anti-sway bar bushings. The noise is worse or more noticeable when the car is wet.
