my rear ratio is 3.74 i need to know what ratio is recommended ot slow down my shifting so i can cruise at higher speeds and lower rpms but also retain some umph on take off any feed back will be appreciated.

3.73 gears are usually pretty good for cruising, but you could install some 3.55 or maybe 3.27 and still have some "umph" My dad's 88 has 3.27's and it gets with it!
