A 1985 complete motor for 275$ on buy it now!!! What do you guys think? I can convert it to EFI, use the EEC out of a 93 Stang... pretty limited on my cam choice, probably needs a rebuild... change the heads, of course... it IS a regular block... I'm getting carried away. Does this motor have any potential at all, or is it pretty limited? The guy is brand new to ebay, no credit whatsoever... I just emailed him on shipping info. Is this a good deal? I don't want anyone to bid on it because it will kill the Buy it Now option.
the only problem i could see is that you really have no idea what condition the engine is actually in. he says it has 88,000 miiles, but how can you tell until you open up the box.
other than that, any 351 is a can be made to make some serious hp if you want it to.

I would hesitate to buy an engine over E-bay. If you cannot hear it run or have some real way of telling what kind of condition it is in, then buyer beware! The price sounds resonable but be prepared for a complete rebuild!

I couldn't help it, it was too irresistable ... I know that it's going a little backwards... but I need to get my six cylinder out of there. Plus, I need to have it done as soon (and as cheap) as possible, hoping before school starts... I will try to keep you guys up to date on what I do, maybe take a few pics and make an article out of it, to help others...
are you putting this in the 96 in your signature? if so are you going to put on fuel injection or a carb?
