i believe they are the best overall gear you can get. my engine rpms are around 2100 at 60 mph and i get 23 mpg(thats with a 5-speed though), yet they gave me a huge difference in acceleration.
you didnt say what tranny type you have, but they are a good gear either way.

Just got back from shop, 373 install. Bone stock 2000 GT auto. So far I love em! I thought they might make car a little hairy from dead stop but car still needs a boot in the ass until about 2500 rpm then, look out, a nice steady pull that sucks you back into seat! Factory Goodyears on car and they are holding on not too bad. Can smoke em up with a brake burn but small amount of tire squeal from idle. Hopefully next mods help her outa the hole cause like I said...no problems once she gets rolling. My time slips will tell me if it was worth it but my "seat of the pants" says a good choice.

mods so far...FRPP 373's, WMS velocity intake, ProM 95mm maf, FRPP 70mm TB, ModMax UD pullies, Autologic chip, Magnaflow catted X, Bassani catback, WMS SFC's.
I used FRPP gear kit, everything needed to do the job, crown, pinion, crush sleave, bearings, pinion nut, and shims. Also Mobil 1 synthetic lube all in Kit....$349.99 Canadian. The install was done by excellent mech. for $350.00 Canadian. My American cousins should be able to do a little better. We pay a premium up here in "The Great White North". Don't look for cheap install. I visited 4 shops before I picked one. Look for people who know what they are talking about. My gears are smooth and quiet. No bangs ,clangs or wines! PS, the longer I drive em...the more I love em. Really a sweet street gear!!

I see your GT with the auto still responds lethargic off the line with the 373s. I want to put gears in my 02 GT with an auto trans. Am I better off going to 4.10s or 3.90s. I want the car to rip off the line but I drive this everyday on the interstate. What is best?
3:73's for 5 speeds and 4:10's for the automatics unless you are looking into SC later. This has been the recommendations through outt the many gearing topics on this forum.
