Default Do all GT's have the 8.8 rear?

I just bought 3.73's and want to make sure it doens't matter what year I ahev.

Except for the older style foxes, I think pre 85.

yes, pre 85's had 7.5" and after that they have the 8.8"

AOD to T-5 conversion, 3.73's, Zoom HD clutch, ported E7's, cut open and ported factory intake, ported stock throttle body, subframe connectors, 1.5" headers, o/r h-pipe, flowmaster cat back, MAC air tube, K&N conical filter, homemade heat sheild for filter, homemade cold air kit, MSD coil, 9mm plug wires, advanced base timing to 12 degrees, Chrome Pony rims, 235/55/r16 Cooper Cobras..... definately more to come!! 86 and up had the 8.8. the 85's never.

84 was the transition year for quad shocks. Some did some didn't. Mine does.

Yeah my 84 has the quad shock and it looks like my 82 gt did also before it was lowered and aftermarket traction bars were added unless the rearend was changed I have not a clue.
