Think they'll make a mach 1 forum so i can se the pros and cons of it? Im trying to decide between a mach or a cobra, and right now im leaning towards mach. i like the rareity, and the unique styling. Alot of driving magazines (including car&driver) are calling it the best mustang they have ever driven. Plus its cheaper. what do yall think?

I'd go with a Mach 1. I get rid of the air scoop, put on a V6 hood, and remove the Mach 1 emblem, and make it look like a V6. And when all those little imports wanna race, you show em what the back of a Mustang looks like.
lol, I've had mine for more than a month and i love it! a cobra would be pretty awesome too but it's a few grand more expensive. Good luck on you choice.
i think that for th price you cant beat it. Its just gonna be so rare in a few years and it still packs over 300 horses. plus the shaker hood is just unbelievably cool in my opinion.something about an engine that comes through the hood that gets my blood flowin
PS i think we need a mach 1 forum because it may have a 4.6 liter, but its a cobra engine, and other than that, nothing else is like the 4.6. i mean its a totally different make of the model just like a v6, gt, cobra , etc.

im pretty sure on the mach now. the 390 hp stock from the cobra is nice, but you almost never see the machs man and theyre gonna be a collectors item i think. plus the unique interior has pretty much sold me. plus i dont need 390 hp. id kill myself. ill prolly kill myself with the mach but maybe ill only be going 149 instead of 150 or something hell i dont know. cheers anyways

The Mach 1 is NOT a Cobra motor. The only thing we share with the 03/04 Cobra is the Heads casing. The manuals have a forged crank and the auto's have the cast one. All the rest of the internals are cast. Cobr inernals for 03/04 are forged.
The cylinder heads house a 5.4L 4-valve intake cam (Navagator) and a high performance exhaust cam(Marauder). This cam combination greatly enhances torque at lower engine speeds. A new set of exhaust manifolds are port matched to the new cylinder heads.
Oh well i was just basing my comments on someone elses comments (cant remember where i saw that cobra engine thing) so woops. now i know. whats different about the suspension. No IRS if im not mistaken in the mach right? I would definately like that. i also heard there were other differtences. feel free to fill me in. Its basically a certainty that a mach is my next car and i like to know alot about my cars
