my car is a 96 cobra,i have replaced the iac motor 2 times,i can tell when it throws this code because car runs sloppy,i used a actron code reader,it says 1516 auxiliary inputs,manufactorer control vehicle idle speed.if im right the iac motor is on the driver side of the engine which 2 bolts holds it on,please help.

I looked it up, 1516 code (P1516)= intake manifold runner control input error (bank 1) It is associated with the IMRC actuator assembly. There could be a bind, sieze, damage or obstruction of the IMRC. Also if the IMRCM at closed throttle is less than the reference voltage or if it reads 1 volt or greater with engine RPM of at least 3000RPM may indicate a fault. P1517 is the code for bank 2.
