Default Wiper Cowl replacement

I have an 88GT, recently got it, and the previous owner must have thrown the hood all the way back, because the wiper cowl + the metal panels beside it are ruined... Is this pretty easy to replace, or does it require welding? And also, where can I find a new peice?

Here's a pic for anyone wondering-

Ouch, looks like more then just the hood came back. Have you tried junk yards for the wiper cowl?

Well I posted this on Stangnet too, apparently the metal part has to be fixed by a bodyshop... The plastic "grille" peice is availible online....

Unfortunantly.. :-P

If you do not have any welding skills, yes a body shop is your best bet.

The windshield, fenders and hood need to come off. The spot welds along the windshield flange, inside the fender area and along the fire wall will be drilled out to remove the cowl. Then the new cowl will need to be spot welded back in and sealed

I've done one, IT"S ALOT OF WORK! If you have some skill and time it can be done
