I have a '95 V6 Mustang, but the engine is done. That's the bad news... The good news is this is a perfect oportunity to try and get a V8 in there. I don't know much about cars, so I was wondering if you folks could tell me the procedures for doing such a thing, or if it's even possible. I see this as a chance to learn about my car as well, so it could be a great experience.

if i was going to do a change over idd have a doner car to get the parts off of. 5.0 mag did a swap. they pulled the dash off an rewired the car with the ecm an all. you should also do a chassis mod also swaybar,tie rod ends struts, ect.
might be cheeper an better to buy a v8.

Well, if this is an expensive thing I guess I'm done with the Mustangs for now. I don't really have a whole lot of money to spend, but I could drop a few grand on it if need be. Any suggetions on buying a decent used V8 mustang? I love the car and I don't want to get stuck with an import.

Seriously, it may be better to drop a V6 back in it, sell it and buy a V8..... would be a lot easier and cheaper. That way your V6 will be back on the road so you have a car untill you can save up for a V8. You'll also get more money for you V6 if it has a woking motor !

You also have to consider your insurance will go up when you get a V8 !
