Im assuming when you put the key up at the ignition, you cant hear the fuel pump turn on then off? If you can get a fuel pump relay from a friend , swap it over. It's under the drivers seat and pulls right out.

Have you checked the obvious, a blown fuse?

There are a few things to look for, you said it Flex, check the fuses. One thing common with the blade type fuse, they sometimes get hair line cracks in the fuse link and may test fine with a digital volt meter, but when the get warm the link separates. The fuses you want to check are in the Power Distribution box in the engine compartment. The relay is probable too. Also there is a reset switch located somewhere in the rear inside the trunk (refer to your owners manual for location) if that was tripped the fuel pump will not operate. Another thing to look at is the vaccum line connected to the throttle body which is connected to the fuel regulator (small cylindrical silver disk connected on the fuel line). Also you may want to inspect the electrical connection to the fuel rail pressure sensor. Unplug it and reconnect it. Sometimes the ICU (computer) will deactivate the fuel pump when loss of pressure is detected. I experienced that when I re-assembled one of the fuel rails and had a fuel leak. I was pleased to find out that the motor would not start, otherwise I would have had a fire. When the ignition was placed in the on position without attempting to crank it over (to check fuel pressure) the pump would shut off. If you are still having the problem getting the codes scanned may indicate what is happening (provided you either have a scanner or the car is still drivable).

Almost forgot, when attempting to crank the motor, does the starter work? if not, it could be the ignition/starter relay fuse (also located in the power distribution box). I hope you get the problem fixed!
