HI THERE--IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE WHO CAN HELP. I OWN A 1971 MACH 1 302C.I.D ASSEMBLED IN DEARBORN BUT SOLD IN CANADA. THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ID FITTED WITH A CLOCK AND SPEEDOMETER WITH THE PETROL GAUGE IN THE CENTRE. IT HAS THE INDICATOR LIGHTS AND HEADLIGHT FULL BEAM WARNING FITTED IN THE CLOCK.SPEEDOMETER DOES NOT HAVE TRIP MILAGE FITTED. HAS FULL RALLY PACK GAUGES IN THE CENTRE CONSOLE. I AM TRYING TO LOCATE A PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD TO RUN A TACHOMETER IN PLACE OF THE CLOCK, BUT SO FAR HAVE BEEN UNSUCESSFUL. IS THERE A PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD AVAILABLE THAT EILL FIT A TACHO AND MY PRESENT SPEEDO SETUP. I HAVE TRIED 2 DIFF '71 MODEL PRINTED CIRCUIT BUT THEY DO NOT FIT. MY CAR HAS BEEN FACTORY FITTED IN IT'S PRESENT FORM. IS THERE A DIFF BETWEEN A 2V AND 4V MODELS. MINE IS 2V IN INSTRUMENT PANEL SET-UPS.-------ARCHIE

Tachs are set up for #s of cylinders. Therefore as long as the tach you have is correct for the number of cylinders you have, you're in good shape. The speedo runs off a drive in the tailshaft of the transmission via cable to the speedo.I'm not real well versed in the 71-73s but you may be able to find a factory tach set up for your car that does replace the clock. Good Luck
