Hi guys,
lil question, can I remove the black heat blocker under the hood? it's falling apart and really dirty.. is it critical to disipation of heat, should I buy a new one or somethin?

mine has been off for about 2 years now and i havent had any problems. i think the only thing i did notice was maybe a little more noise.

the heat from the engine will cause the paint on the hood to deteriorate more quickly, especially if it's factory paint. Also, more noise.

if you have a breather on your oil, it might shot some out onto the underside of the hood, i took mine off.

Have you thought about adding Dynamat to cover it up? This will reduce the heat issue as well as misc. noise.
