Default Tire Sizes?

I just called some places to get prices on replacement tires and they told me that the size I have now is throwing off my speedo! If my stock size is 225/60R15 and I am running 205/60R15 will that make than big of a difference?

Also, since my rear tires are new and I rotate them (205s) to the front and get the new 225s on the rear, will that be ok? Correct the speedo and ride correctly?

The vendor you spoke with is absolutely correct. The 205mm tires are nearly an inch shorter than original. The speedometer will read faster than actual and the odometer will record mileage higher than actual. Putting a P225/60R15 tire in the back again will correct that anomaly.

P205/60R15 = 24.7"
P225/60R15 = 25.6"
