Default 94 convertible window sitcks or off track

I search the forum looking for anything on 94 convertible window sticking or going off tack, couln't find anything..

It gets stuck about 2-4 inch's from the top about every time. I can get the window to roll up by pulling up & giving it a jiggle forward & backwards while holding the button. It was working fine, Think I hit a few to many pot holes & it got knocked off. But any ideas on how to get it back on track again or fix it?

Figure anything out yet?

I am having a similar problem with my 95GT. Initially, the window had trouble at the bottom and top and I would grab it and give it a hand, but now it just about totally isn't working?

Hopefully we'll figure something good out.

It's probably the actual gear inside the window motor. The gear splits(from age) and as the window gets closer to the top,or bottom (heavier). The split gear expands and disengages from the worm drive. I too had this issue as soon as I got my Vert, the guy had got them up to the top and disconnected them so that he wouldnt have to deal with it. But I HAD to fix it.

Junkyard time. and just relace the whole motor. It does suck to do it, but Once it's done you should'nt have to worry about it again for a long time (hopefully)
