Hey.

I have a friend with an '89 Tempo, im not sure what model it is cause all the badges are off, but he says if I can fix it I can have it.

From what I heard the problem is that when you press on the brake the car just dies. Could that be some kind of vacum leak, and how can I fix it? I was thinking of just getting a new brake booster for it.

If anyone has any other suggestions that would be great. Thanks.

Take a pair of locking pliers and pinch off the vacuum line to the booster, then apply the brakes and see what you get.
