Default Dead Battery

I finally killed the battery in my car. I am looking to get a new one and was thinking about an optima red top. I have a high power stereo in the car and an alarm. So I want to get something that will take the abuse. I did a search on Optima batteries and could not find anything that said what size would fit in the Fox body 5.0. Anyone know what one will fit?
When I called the guys at Sears to see if they had one that would fit, they told me they had some that would work but could not be sure that it would fit in the tray and clear the hood. They recommended that I just get a Die Hard for about the same price.

i think ive seen those battires on all kinds of stangs. ive only seen one size i think. try it and if it doesnt work take it back tell them it doesnt work or measure the area and then measure the battery. i heard they are very reliable too. also battery is only for start up nothing to do with your audio system. that runs off your alt.

I have the amps hooked up directly to the battery as shown in most hook up kits. I have never seen anyother way of running the high gauge wire that amps need.

I think the Oprima web site has an application chart.

However you'll pay a premimum for an Optima if you buy it locally. I bought my blue top on Ebay for $80 delivered.

i understand the amps are hooked up to the battery, but once the alt starts running that is what runs the entire electrical syatem in the car. it supplys the battery with juice to bc you have the amp. ive known people to hook up amps straight to the alt when they have a large one. they usually install a larger amp alt to begin with . yea ive seen those batterys for 100+ i say a battery is a battery just get a name brand and pay 60 bucks instead of 100.
