Default Hollowing cats

Hey guys, I was wondering if there is any procedure for hollowing out your catalytic convertors, or do you just kinda knock everything out with a stick? Thanks for any advice.

Why would you want to do that? It would be easier to just bypass them alltogether.

The muffler shop wants 200 to cut them out and replace it with pipe. Unless there's another way to bypass them I'd rather spend a day doing it than spend 200 dollars doing it.

I'll betcha that $200.00 is going straight in the mechanic's pocket.
You could buy an off road H-pipe AND have it installed for about that much.
Save your original H-pipe for when (or maybe if) they start emission checking
in your area.
