Do any of you guys know if a K code car produced on sept 9, 1964 is a true 64 1/2? I just bought this car which is a convertible and it has been changed to an automatic from its original 4 speed....am planning on selling it....do you think it will bring more or less money with the auto in it or switching it back to 4 speed...thanks..bob

first off, there is no such thing as a 64 1/2, the VIN starts 5. The main differance between an early and late 1965 Mustang is a generator, also, if it is a GT, it is not an early car. If the horns are mounted on the core support, it is not an early car. Auto's were not an option until 1966 for the K-Code, so a serious collector would just walk past it
