Default tube k-member questions

hey guys i'm been considering getting a tubulare k-member and a-arms for my Mustang and i had a few questions
1 how strong do these things have to be - is UPR's chrome-moly k-member worth the investment or on the other end of the spectrum will a aluminum k-member hold up at all
2 do the suspension geomitry changes some the companies make to these things make that big a difference
3 do tubular k-members really add all that much extra room for headers and such
i would appreciate any thoughts or comments you guys may have

It also depends on what you want to do. Most drag race "K"-members I would not use on the street. They are designed to save weight for the track and not strength on the street.

"K"-members like those from Griggs or Maximum Motorsports are designed for strength on a road course and would be great for the street.

The factory one is very weak, it caves in over time due to the weight of the motor. Whichever one you get, make sure it's strong.

i purchased the upr chrome moly tubular k member and control arms with the qa1 coil over set up over 2 years ago, the car definitely handles better and you have a better feel for the car, however my only problem with upr's set up it actually pushed the hole engine approx 1" towards the front of the car and extended the front tires approx 3/4" pasted the front fenders. with the tires extended its good for handling but i do not like the engine moved more to the front, other makes such as qa1 actually push the engine back 1" towards the rear better for drag strip and equal weight distribution. i would recommend qa1 though
