Default Is there any difference between ford motorsport gears and OEM ford ?

I know a guy that is selling a set of 3:73 gears for $50. They are out of a 04 explorer. They are absolutely perfect. They can't have many miles at all, beause there is no wear on the teeth at all.

But what my question is...Are Ford Motorsport gears any different that an OEM ford gear? I mean if I can save a few bucks and there is no difference in quality or strength then I oughta go for it...

Thanks for the repsonses!

NO...except for the box. ALL Ford gears are manufactured at the same plant.
