Wilt and badass98svt, you are both right.

The engine bay had to be heavily modified to fit the engine in it. They used a V8 supercar sub frame to get it to fit. The engine itself was purchase from Ford Motorsport at the time (now Ford Racing). I know it broke down once and they had to borrow parts from the old F series tow car they had ! :hihi:

I have seen the car many times. I have even been for a quick ride out the front of the shop.

You're confusing the 2 V10's. The V10 from Oz's post is a 5.4 with 2 extra cylinders, the 6.8 Triton V10 out of the F250/350 (5400cc/8 cylinders = 675cc per cylinder. 10 cylinders = 6750cc or 6.8 litres). The Boss 351 V10 is an experimential short deck block designed to fit in the Mustang with little to no modifications. They're two completely different engines.

Like Oz said, the Aussie Stang did require major mods because it's a tall deck block.

Now Ford does have a supercer with one of the V10's in it. It was all chrome. I seen it at the Mustang Cougar Club of America in 2007. The truck engine isn't all it's cracked up to be just like the one in the dodge trucks even though it's and the viper engin are basically the same it's not all that amazing.

The viper engine in the dodge truck is like 505 HP That engine in a car is extreamly AMAZING. We have done a fiew of these swaps for customers. V10 is 100% correct IT AINT THAT TUFF TO DO and its an AWSUM SWAP to say the least. Here is how i describe it. You can melt the widest tires on this planet with that kind of a swap. Its beyond SANITY CASE CLOSED AND AMAZINGLY FAST.

if dodge can put a v-10 in one snake i think ford could do it better in the oldest of snakes...but if you can pull the same power and tourqe out of a v8 why bother and your talking two entirely diferent types of sports cars.Correction I'm sorry a sports car only has 2 seats, puts them viper guys in a bind when they want take more than 1 babe out to a party.
