Wow, your question is so descriptive. Here's an equally descriptive answer. Maybe.

What year Mustang are you talking about?

Yes, people have done it. I can't remember the name of the company that makes the conversion k-member, but you can put any modular motor in a fox body.

Wasn't that technically not a triton??

Heres the 98 Super Stallion Concept.

It was a v8.

I remeber the one your talking about, but can't find it.

I thought they mated 2 more cylinders onto the already existing v8. (aka not a Triton)

Anyone remeber ... this was on here a few month ago somewhere.

That almost goes without saying.

Thanks for the links. (Although its really only a curiosity)

That 98 super stallion is sweet too..

FYI, that's a prototype V10, not the same V10 you can pull out of an F-250/350. The Triton V10 is much larger than the Boss 351 V10.

Well how can you say a V10 fits with no MAJOR modification when the V10 you are refering to is the only one in existance?

if you read the article in the link that oz gave it says they didn't use the truck triton v10 in thier stang because it didn't give enough high end torque. also the boss 351 isn't the only mustang with that engine "in existence" the australian stang also has a 5.4 v8 with 2 extra cylinders. in factit says its used it many of the motorhomes and f series trucks.
" The platform for this madness was nothing too extreme - a then-new early-2000 6-cylinder automatic convertible outa California. The first step in the massive transformation was to discard that hopeless six-pot and drop in one of the beefiest engines in the Ford's global range - the 7.0-litre 90-degree modular V10 as found in some of the larger F-series and motorhomes in America. For Australian readers, it's basically a SOHC plus-two cylinder version of the Barra's 5.4-litre donk. Not surprisingly, the stock V10 was something of a truck engine - it gave mountains of torque at low rpm, but it didn't make the top-end you'd normally associate with a V10. "
