My first driving experince with a manual car...

My buddy took me out and taught me how to drive manual today.

05 Scion TC. I need to practice alot, but I think I got the hang of it. I felt like I was relearning how to drive.

On a side note.

I took my Stang to the dealership today.. Service department was closed. Salesman asked me if I wanted to drive the 05 GT.

I'm taking my 00 back in on Monday and I'm going to take an 05 for a spin.

I guess you could say it was a car day for me.

(large groaning sound....) what is wrong with parents today? You are just NOW learning?

EACH of my four daughters started learning the concept of manual transmissions when they were old enough to reach the entire shift pattern while strapped into the seat belt of my '92 Ranger. Upon their 13th birthday, they each began to get the feel of a clutch, and began to over-rev up and down the road. Before they ever thought of attending driver's training (age 15) they had driven thousands of miles in this truck; and knew how to shift like a pro.

They never had to profess to like it, but knew they had to master it. Now....one still drives that truck, and at least one other of the four has a manual shift vehicle.

awesome man, great job on the manual driving lesson...........not to bad once you get the hang of it..........and uh, i would think if they get you to drive an 05, you are probably gonna buy one..........hehehehehe, hotwheels of turborides

The 05 was sweet...

I don't have the money at this point being in college and all.

My plan is that it will be a college graduation present (if i can't figure out how to get one sooner)
