I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to get my exhaust deeper and louder. I have a '93 5.0, shorty headers, h-pipe, flowmaster super 40 mufflers, and it is a 2.25" system. It still doesn't have the sound I am looking for, that empty, hollow, cutless sound, could it be because of the 2.25" pipes, or do I need more horsepower for a better sound? Thanks for your time and help.

2.5" all the way thru muffler , 3" tips out rear valance, longer the tips the throatier the sound, do you have cats on the h-pipe???? if you do the cats quiet the exhaust down quite a bit and will be tough to achieve the sound you are looking for. the bigger the cam, the more the heads flow all add to that great sound

Get rid of those FlowCrappers. Go with SLP. I just bought SLP Loudmouth Catback system. It is actually WAY TOO LOUD. The system I bought is interchangable with 2 other types of SLP mufflers. I sold the LOUDMOUTH Shotgun resonators and am purchasing the SLP Power Flo mufflers. These are the quietest of the 3. The second loudest is the Loudmouth II. The only reason I did because it's TOO loud. I have an offroad X-pipe. That's the big reason.
