Started putting my 302 back together, I had bought reconditioned heads, as per the casting number they were out of 69 truck. I am using them on block out of a 71 mustang, the rocker arm stud nuts that were on the old heads do not fit the new ones, they appear to be 5/16". My question is can I just get new nuts and be OK?

Is there anything else I would have to woory about???

i would just go to a parts house and get some new nut's for your rockers...........if you know the year of the heads, that should work, or even try a google search on what vehicles came with those head casting numbers and go get some new nut's..........hotwheels of turborides
