Question 351 Timing Pointer

Hi,
I have a 1970 mustang with a 351 windsor in it. I'm in the process of timing the distributor but there isn't a timing pointer on the engine so it's hard for me to get a good timing point. I have a pointer off of a 1968 302 and i was wondering if it would fit on the 351 so that i could finish the timing.
thanks

yes it will work if it was on the same side of the block as what is suppost to be on your 351 if it is for the oppsite side you will need to changew your balancer as they are marked different for the different timing pointers if its an after market balancer it may be marked for both

on a side note if your still using the stock balancer make sure its in decent shape the ring on the balaner con move as the rubber ages if yours looks good paint a line across the front so you will know if it moves

hope this helps
