Default Broken seat...want to switch with passenger

OKay guys. My drivers side seat is full power and my pass side is not power.

Now my drivers seat broke. Can i switch seats somehow? I will use the manual adjuster to slide back and forth. Is there any way to do this? Like taking the bottom half of the sliders off and swithcing them?

i just want a good seat again.

As far as mounting, as long as you bring the seat and track over, it should swap over.. problem being, to lift the seat it will be on the inside towards the console tho...

What part of the seat broke??? The seat bottom and back are 2 seperate components. The bottom bolts to the parts that make the seat move. If you can switch out the bottom part you will just need to cut a hole in the seat for mounting the power parts. (I am assuming the bottom frames on the pass and driver side are the same b/c there is a mounting bracket for the power switch)

Anyway what Im trying to say is check it out. The bottom and back unbolt from eachother. I replaced my DS seat cushion on my 98GT and found that the motor and such is on the part that connects to the floor. The seat bottom only had the power and lumbar switches on them but from looking at it you should be able to swap them out and mod the passenger seat to accept the controls.

youll need a 10 mm to unbolt the 4 bolts holding the seat on, a phillips screwdriver and a huge allenwrench and i think the 15 mm as refered to before to unbolt the seat back and bottom from eachother

What part is actually broke????.................FROM MORE INFO ON YOUR PROBLEM COMES MORE IDEA's

let us know

oh also the seatbelt thing shouldn't be a problem either, Remove the headrest and it should unscrew (i think) That is if that is the part you have to fix.

Contact CrossRaods Auto Salvage in Ontario California they deal in latemodel fords only and mostly Mustangs. I am sure they can get you a good price. I tracked down a complete power top pump and lifts for $125.00 for a guy here at work. 909-986-6789 I do not know if they ship but they are pretty cool down there.
