Default Conversion help/advice.....

I have a chance to pick up a 1986 Mustang LX for 250 bucks, it's a 4 Cylinder and is in good shape and runs. However, I want to put a 302 that I have in the garage in it (if I buy the car)...the 302 is carbed, and is out of a '68 Mustang. I was wondering what I would all need to do the conversion, and if the Carbed motor is easier to convert than the Computer one. Thanks for any help.

Hi,

So you need some help, I'm in the process of doing the same thing putting a 302 carb engine in my 88 lx...

It's should be easy, without a computer and all the other stuff.. Good thing it that you can use your stock k-member but you have a remove the engine mounts.. also you will have to upgrade your front suspension, the springs, struts, sway bar, sway bar end links, and lower ball joints are all different between the two cars. Your car will sag down in the front considerably if you do not change the springs, and more important handling will be adversely affected. The Rearend, trans.

Here a good site..http://members.tripod.com/Mr5oh/4to8.html

Need anyhelp let me now.. good luck
