They make a tool for that, or you can use a c clamp.. to depress the caliper..

A C-clamp WILL NOT WORK. I tried that method but it didn't work at all. After reading in the manual and calling ford they said that the rear caliper had to be rotated clockwise and depressed at the same time. After trying a few methods with a few tools I gave up and went to Autozone and got the tool kit for it, took a total of about 10 minutes for both sides with the correct tool after I fought for an hour without the correct tool. For some reason the front brake calipers can be depressd with just a C- Clamp.
That sucks, i never did a 2001 rear brakes, but now i will know... They never can make it easy... You always have to spend money..
