Default E-brake light on after changing rotor\brake

Im a newbie tech guy, im just learning how to tune out and fix my car... so the problem is, I just changed my rear brakes \ rotors... my idiot friend decided it was a good idea to bleed the brakes before we did so (i was in the house getting some pepsi >_<)... so we finally got everything on ... put new fluid into the car, turn the car on and POOF, the red "(!) (?) Brake" light goes on. I have a 95 mustang gt with 5.0 if it matters, and this has never happened before... so any help would be thx

Dave

EDIT: Problem fixed itself after 2 days -- LOL, but brake pedal is almost to the floor.... any reasoning behind that one?

The mastercylinder float was probably stuck. Rebleed your brakes.
