Question 4 cylinder/ v6 swap

i just wanted to know like the basics for a 2.3L 4 banger to a 3.8L swap. what all would i have to change out. also one other question. i am wanting to do some performance mods to the v-6 but not sure if it will work. i am wanting to bore it out to 0.030 with a vortec supercharger and possibly twin turbo. the turbo's wont be turned up to too must psi but i still want to get the most power out of it. would that also be possible to run the motor like that with s/c and twin turbos? what other mods would be good for this motor with a supercharger. this is going into a 93 LX convertable w/automatic tranny. if any can help with this it would be appreciated. thanx.

it should work, however for the time, money and effort, why not get a V8?

Jim, here is a good thread about V6 vs V8 thats definateely worth the read:

Is modifying V6 mustang worth it or should I trade for V8?

There are some advantages and disadvantages to both. With regard to your actual question, I am not familiar with what is involved to swap in a V6 to replace your 2.3L 4 cylinder. Hopefully some of our members and resident experts will be able to answer your question.

Hope this is of some help

I would just drop a T-bird SC in it. I bought my cousin a 1986 Mustang 3.8, auto (all you could get with v6) and we are wanting to swap the SC or even just a 99-03 Mustang v6 It would have as much HP as the old v8s with minor mods starting at 190hp when the GT from that time had 200 is not bad plus the weight as well his 6 handels way better then the v8 I am going to be picking up next week!
