Hey All,
I've been working for quite a while on repowering my boat. Im upgrading from a 302 to a 351W. I pretty much have all the hardware I am going to need except a lower intake. I will be using all volvo penta EFI hardware and do not believe that the lower intake used by volvo penta is the generic one used in Ford 351 automobiles. It looks very similar to a 5.0 GT40 intake but i dont think that the 5.0 intake will fit? Will it? Here is a picture of the one I need. Is this a GT40 5.8 intake? Does a GT40 5.8 even exist? In either case I would appreciate any knowledge you have regarding this peice. Where can I get one? How much should I expect to pay? ETC.

did a little research and figured out that its the intake off of a 93-95 ford lightning. are there any other cars that have this same setup?

That is a 351 GT40 lower intake. They did indeed come on the 93-95 Lightning, but good luck getting one from them. Oh and the very rare 95 Cobra R had a 351 with GT40 intake.

FMS quit making them. Every now and then you can find one on Evelbay, but they go for bank. I've seen them as high as $500.00 just for the lower.

You might be better off just getting an Edelbrock or Trick Flow or some other brand. It would be cheaper
