Did you happen to put a wrong key in the ignition? The 1999 and newer Mustangs are equiped with a chipped key for theft purposes. If you put a wrong key in the ignition, it will automatically lock the wheel from you to use it. If that is the case, you will have to call your local Ford dealer to send someone to unlock the wheel. This is a safety feature in case someone tries to steal your car. The chick is located in the plastic black part of the key. Or, maybe your's somehow malfunctioned.

No, I put the Mustang Key into it. I noticed it wouldn't turn but I just thought I put it in the wrong way. So I didn't do it again and just opened the hood.(I was just showing a group of friends, we poped the hood and trunk...could that do anything?)

Try moving the steering wheel from side to side while trying to turn it.

If you're sure you put the right key in you probably just locked the steering wheel. Try turning the steering wheel while pushing the key in and turning.
