Default rear brakes 99 explorer

The rear pads on my 99 explorer wore down to metal to metal and I need to take the rotor off, but do they come off like the fronts, just pull off or does the emergency brake get involved? Does the e brake have it's own little
brake bands in the drum looking portion of the rotor?

I took both rear calipers off and applied the e brake and rotor won't turn, so I guess they have their own bands. Both rotors are not wanting to come off, but this is not unusual if they've never been off before. They usually hang up on the flange of the axle. Am I answering my own ques??
