After changing the key fob battery, do you have to re-program the fob? And if it doesn't work after the battery change, what then?? Thanks for your help!

You shouldn't have to reprogram, I changed my battery and it continued to work. I did finally purchase a new key fob though, the original one was worn out and didn't always work. I bought one online for around $50 and my local Ford garage programmed it for me when I took the car in for routine service, for free. If it won't work for you after installing a new battery, you might have to buy a new fob.
