Altighty i'm hookinh up an air fuel ratio gauge on my buds 95 gt.I have one on my car but it's like 50 miles away getting a bar put in it...Anyway on to the question.Which wire "color" do i hook it up to on the O2 sensor.Any help would be greatly appreciated

which brand guage do you have? did it not come with instructions?
if theres three wires your best bet is ground,power,and remote, red hot, black not, whatevercolor being remote..

Autometer has complete installation instructions on their website for all of their gauges. The O2 sensor wire color is violet.

I cant find a voilet wire on the o2 sensor just 2 whit and a grey then black one....

Can anyone tell me what they hooked the purple wire to installing the autometer air fuel ratio gauge. The directions say not to hook up to the O2 sender becuase it may be sheilded. Is this a problem or is there a better place? Thanks for the input

my friend just finished installing an a/f gauge from autometer. It basically has 3 wires. the red is power, the black is ground and the purple is the 02 oxy. sensor.

look for an ECU wire map and tap all 3 wires into the ecu and u should be fine. at least thats the way he did it for his eclipse gst.

I jsut hooked one of these up the other day, and it is just like 98gtracer said. red = power, black = ground, and purple is 02 sensor.
