Question looking to buy new wheels

i was looking to buy a set of wheels for my 1996 gt it has the factory option 17x8 on it. the rim itself says 17x8x30. hte rims i am looking at say they will fit 1994-2005 they are 18x9 bullet with a 25mm offset 5" x 4.5" bolt pattern. i was just wondering if they will clear my brake caliper. i am assuming that the 30 on my factory rims mean 30mm offset.

Default 18"

I'm currently putting 18" wheels on my 02 GT (2 18x9's and 2 18x10's). I've seen people run 13" brakes with these wheels no problem, so i think they should clear your calipers. Who are you buying the wheels from? Most dealers will guarantee fit if your car is stock. It occurs to me that the need for a larger offset would be, er, offset by the larger wheel width and height, though I would definitely discuss this with the seller.

luck with the wheels.
