I have a 4 banger and it runs great. So rather than sell it and buy a 5.0 I want to beef it up enough so that it sounds and runs great. I plan to have a friend work on the exhaust for me so that it appears to have a dual exhaust, mainly to make the cobra style body kit look like it belongs on the car. What I want to know is that will the "fake" dual exhaust (Flowmaster) have any positive impact on performance or will it just make the car look cool? Also, will it impact the sounds of the car. I changed out the exhaust earlier this year and put a performance no name on it, and that alone made a big difference. Any input on this project is appreciated.

Will be ok as long as you dont install a true dual, that will reduce backpressure too much and you will loose HP. Use a "Y" to split the exhaust. Use 2 inch pipes.
