Hey I am kinda new to the whole Mustang scene and am wondering about any problems or "quirks" that the fox body 4cyl mustangs might have. The reason I am asking is 'cause I am looking into a fox tang with a 4cyl and a manual in it and just wanted any help I could get to make a decision.

what year? worst thing i can think of on a mustang is the door handles and locks.....they seem to always break......other then that......great car's

The Mustang is an '89 with the 2.3 under the hood. I am picking it up tonight, went and looked at it everything seemed to be fine except for a few small problems like cruise doesn't work. The two problems that I would like to fix on it is the fuel gauge is stuck at full after the prev owner put a new pump on it and then he said he adjusted the timing and didn't unplug the CPU and now he said the check engine light comes on every now and then for a bit. If anybody has any suggestions to fix those I would appreciate it.
