Data logging with GUI-EECTUNER software

Is there a method for data logging with the GUI software or are you limited to using the ShiftMaster software? Can someone explain how this is accomplished with either package?

I havent tested it but theres a software package that does it "painlessly".

Thanks for the info Robert, but what do I do with it? I looked through the package for some type of instruction but couldn't find anything about how to use it with the GUI software or EEC tuner. Please pardon my ignorance.

If i remember correctly you dont need any other software, just set the parameters of you car and it will upload the Datalogger info to the EECTuner board.
Then all you need to do is READ it.

Sorry but i had no time to test it. Let me see if i can find the instructions.

I think i have it sorted out:

Run EECEditor, go to SETUP and select your COM port and EEC type.
Then go to DATALOG MENU and select BUILD PAYLOAD. Select the parameters you want to datalog.

A screen will appear with the payload parameters needed to start dataloggin.

COPY the file just before the "END" tag of your EECTuner file (Using the EECTuner software) then upload the file to your EECTUner board.

I presume this means I will have to use the Shiftmaster software with the Datalogger software, right?

I rechecked...and it seems you can use the EECEditor..has functions to load the EECTuner file and possibly upload it. Not 100% sure.
