Well if you want to spank the trans am you need to get a supercharger on that 2v and all he will see is your tail lights. If you're thinking about doing the heads or an engine swap you won't be saving much more than a supercharger would cost. Doing a 3v engine swap into a 2v would be a major PITA and very costly too. You could always trade your stang in on a 3v model though it's a definate upgrade I had an 03 gt 5 speed all bolt ons and 4.10s. We need details about your mustang too all your mods and what not so that we can give you better advice. It's hard to say what you should do with absolutely no information about your car. You can start with mileage, transmission and all your mods. those details are important.

It may bolt right in but it has variable camshaft timing that will not work in the 2v although I have heard there are ways around it but either way your looking at the engine, instrument cluster, wiring harness and computer brain and looking at a ton of headache problems than it would probably be worth and by the time you dump all that cash into the job you could've bought a supercharger. I noticed a tuner was not mentioned in your mods list if you don't have a tuner you're missing out. A true dyno tune is best though if you have a trusted dyno shop in your area. You could always do some exhuast upgrades too like an x-pipe to help out with exhuast flow, 70mm throttle body, Underdrive pulleys, steeda tri ax shifter, 24lb/hr injectors. Some sticky tires with a 17x10 or 10.5 wheels on the rear so you hook up better.
sorry i forgot that,i have had it dyno tuned, also i have the wide sticky tires (275/40R17), and the x-pipe, plus the steeda shifter, now there are some weird lowering springs on it, they are intrax spring, i have never herd of them before. what supercharger would you recommend and would i be better off doing a trickflow head swap and cams first?
Heads and cams are always a big power gain but they are rather expensive. Superchargers are expensive too though but it would give you more power than heads and cams. Are you going to install the heads and cams yourself? If so that might save you money and be the better route than the supercharger. But if you have it installed at a shop it's going to be really expensive so you may as well get a supercharger. But if you have the cash to do either of those things you may as well trade in your 2v and get yourself a 05-09 3v I got mine for a really decent price and I like it 3 times better than the 03 gt 2v I had and not just because of the power but because it's the retro body and just looks amazing to me, the 18 inch chrome wheels, the dash, the 2-tone interior, the seats ect.. I even dig my wifes 07 mustang v6 more than the 03 gt it just doesnt have the v8 power that i'm addicted to. But her stang has the lighting package and I bought some brand new oem leather seat covers from ebay and installed in her 6 the car is mint.
