an off-road X-Pipe is designed for off-road use only... basically not legal for emissions in most places... it has no catalytic converters on it and is illegal unless you're in FL or some place like that

But if you can get away with, it an off-road pipe will give you the most horsepower for the least amount of $$ because they are cheaper than pipes with cat converters. I live in Al we have no emissions ...YET. So i'll prob get pipes with hi-flow cats.Because I'm sure they will be changing real soon

A lot of parts say "off-road use only" on them. It's basically the manufacturers way of covering their rears by implying that the part is for track-use only.

spend the extra and buy the high flow cats. Hate to be a "environmentalist" but I am an environmental engineer and I became such becasue I enjoy the outdoors and we need everyones help in preserving it.

Besides, more and more states are requiring emmissions testing. LA just adopted it so it WILL be spreading across the south (I was amazed when I moved here and it was not required in LA, MS, or AL). Why save $200 to have to cut them out and add cats in a few years. Who knows where you might move in your future also!

BUY THE CATS!!!

alright ill stop soapboxin.......

Ok, Dumb Question here.

If I get a x-pipe w/ cats, I will be legal, but will the warrenty be voided?

It seems that the dealers won't look at your vehicle if any part doesn't have FoMoCo on it. I brought mine back to the dealer and had to put all the stock items back on. It will just get way to crazy swapping h-pipe every time I take it in for servicing.

bolt on parts most warranties wont have a problem with... they dont mind bolt on cat backs, why would they mind that? either way, there was a thread back a lil that said warranties cant be void unless the modification was proved to have caused a problem..

My dealer here refuses to look at the car if it is not in stock form. I've had problems with them before regarding previous vehicles I've taken to them. The easiest way to explain how out of touch these service managers are here is...They never heard of "Steeda"

sorry this is a little off topic.
