I'm a newbie...unfortunately don't own a Mustang yet, but i'll be buying one this summer. I'm looking for anything I can afford (V8's only) from '94 to present, 5.0s, 4.6s, GTs, Cobras, what would be the best buy? I'm really just buying it to hold me over until I save up enough for an '05 GT But what do I get, 8000 I set as my absolute max price becuase I know there's mid-90s GTs out there for around 5k. I don't need anything extreme, I just want something that sounds bas ass and is faster then my explorer...Shouldn't be hard. But now to the real question, out of everything mentioned above, what's the best bang for the buck?

And also does anyone know where I can find stock horsepower numbers of mustangs? I don't know how much i trust edmunds. Thanks for any help
