How to download sync software update with 2 cars

sorry if this is in the wrong place. i have 2 fords with sync, i login to the website, it shows my mustang. i click on "switch to 2013 Edge", and the page reloads and it's still the mustang. i can't get it to switch from the mustang to the edge, so i can't get the software update. sync is driving me crazy with all it's problems, i'm hoping an update will fix it. thanks.

Well I'm glad it was in the wrong place. Lol. My wife has a 13' escape with sync. And she has problems with hers at times, the mustang I ordered also will have sync I'm hoping I have no problems like hers, but after reading your post I may be disappointed. My co worker also has a 13 escape and she had issues also she said dealer put some isolators under the module for roughness of the roads not sure if it helped. I'll have to sake her next week.

I haven't had any problems with Sync in the Mustang or my wife's Lincoln. But to switch between cars you have to log back in under the other car - and they have different primary phone numbers and email addresses attached to them. Initially I had the same email address for both when the Mustang came in and couldn't access online, and wiped out my wife's phone accidentally on her car. Now I just log in on one email address for the Mustang and on the other address for the Lincoln.

that doesn't work. i login under my id, it brings up my mustang and doesn't show the edge at all. i login under my wife's id, it brings up my mustang with her edge as the second car that i can't get to.

my '14 mustang sync has problems also - after listening to the usb flash drive, i turn the car off, when i turn it back on, it starts up on fm radio, it took 4 tries to connect my phone, and it won't connect as bluetooth stereo (my phone does show bluetooth stereo in the '13 edge). i had no problems with a $60 bluetooth device i had in my old car that clipped to the visor, not sure why a $thousands bluetooth system can't get things right (well, it is made my microsoft, i guess that explains it).

Maybe you have both ID's set up for the Mustang as primary?

What browser are you using? I found that when I use Firefox I can't do everything on the syncmyride site. If I use Microsoft Internet Explorer it works fine. (gee wonder why that would be LOL)

Speaking as an official Old Fart who hasn't yet experience the "joys" of a high-tech automobile . . . What a pain in the tail!

Seems like Ford might have realized that every driver would have a separate phone number and email address. Unless there is an easy one-button way to switch (like the 1-2 seat memory buttons in your Lincoln) this would be a deal breaker for me.

Are you listening, Ford?
