High Idle sounds like throttle postioning sensor out of adjustment, or just old.
Check a couple of things first:
Is there a vacuum leak somewhere? Hose not attached?
Is the throttle body (throttle blade) open to much:
- Adjust to minimal opening. make sure the throttle blad doesn't stuck.
Measure Voltage over TPS (throttle postioning sensor) to the ground. To do that stick a tiny needle into the back of the connector (middle pin)
with the key in the ignition, and on, motor NOT running you want to be somewhere around 0.92 - 0.95 Volts to the ground. (Some people probabely say that it has to be higher, around 0.98 Volts, but I found out that works best)
Check that, and let us know how it looks like.
The more info you can give, the easier it is to help.
