1993 LX3 -- stalled, won't start

Hello all --

We've got a 1993 LX3 Hatchback. Just bought from niece. Little or no maintenance before now. So we patched the obvious things -- put in a new water pump, for instance - but are now into the adventure stage.

Yesterday, I was driving along at 50 mph when the car just shut down. No power steering, no power anything, engine just stalled. I coasted to a safe spot. The guys just towed the car home and it now seems like it is just about to start up when we try it. But it doesn't.

We do see a spark from the spark plug wires.

Where to start?

And DH just checked the fuel filter and that doesn't seem to be clogged.

Well, it turns out it was a broken spark plug wire! Easy peasy!
