Question What is this on my camshaft timing gear?

I feel kinda stupid asking this question but Iam wondering if anyone could tell me what this is on my camshaft timing gear>

It doesnt look like a fuel pump eccentric to me... plus my car in efi not carb

Could it be an Oil Slinger??? If it is, do i still need it if i changing time chain and gear?

whats this on my timing gear

pretty sure that's a fuel pump eccentric had one on my 90 lx efi and didn't use it when I rebuilt the motor still running fine

I've looked it up in my book and all it is referred to is a one piece eccentric, for what though, it doesn't say. My 5.0 is EFI and it has one also.

That is an oil slinger and I would put it back on with the new parts. I know this answer is late!
