Default Stock rods

Anybody know how strong stock rods are? How much horsepower can they handle? I'm thinking about putting some srs probe pistons in my 306. I'm trying to save some cash somewhere in my rebuild. I was going to have a 331 built by Fox Lake or CCHP with a pair of Victor jr's, and systamax upper and lower. Family obligations kind of put a damper on my budget. So I'll just do a mild home port and polish on my windsor jrs.

If you get the rods checked, install a GOOD rod bolt, and have them resized afterwards they should be good to about 500 hp. If you spin them too high though, they WILL break sooner.
Rods are not very expensive anymore though, and are probably one of the best pieces you can get to ensure it stays together.
