I just bought an 86' Mustang LX convertable, and I'm looking to replace the engine and tranny (it's automatic and I want to convert it to stick, plus it's only a V6). What engine and transmission do you recomend? and I think there's enough room for a chevy 350 and tranny, which I have availible. What do you suggest?

i would recomend going with the 351w it will fit with just a few mods. I have an 87 LX that i am putting one in with a C-4 for drag purposes.

I actually want to put my 6 back in with a manul tranny to go to and from school (I've got a sweet 302 building on the side) does anyone know what the engine imbalance for the 3.8L/232 (1986) is? should I assume that it's the 58oz imbalance of the newer 302's, or should I give it a 28oz imbalance. can the machine shop tell me? (actually I'm sure they could tell me). I know they didn't make a maunal v6 for this yeah, but I've nothing to lose.

any ideas?
