Uh, not true. The turbo does not recycle exhaust into the intake, so fuel passed by is fuel passed by.
In reality, the turbo will have little effect on your MPG, depending on use and tune.
Keep in mind, at full throttle you will be cramming more air, and more fuel, so you will use more than before. If you are never into the boost you will never notice a MPG difference.
I think you are in line expecting a drop of 1-3 MPG overall. I say this based on several friend putting turbos into their vehicles.
